Genuine Parts Company is recruiting for a Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our busy team in the UK. The role is a dual position, performing driver duties and warehouse tasks as required in the branch. Ideally you will have experience in warehouse or commercial vehicle parts and hold a full UK driving licence.

Flexibility and good timekeeping are essential. FPS/GPC emphasise equal opportunity and a commitment to safe, efficient delivery and stock handling across our nationwide operations.

• Pack and load products onto vans according to company specifications.

• Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer.
• Assist with picking customer orders and loading vans.
• Oversee dispatch of orders and coordinate van deliveries.
• Check supplier deliveries and report shortages or damaged stock to line manager.

A position has recently become available for a Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our busy team. This is a dual role which requires the applicant to perform in either role when required in the Branch. Ideally, the successful candidate should have previous experience working within a similar background of Warehouse or Commercial vehicle parts.

Responsibilities

• Driver Pack and load products onto vans according to company’s specifications
• Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes
• Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher
• Unload goods as per client specifications
• Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs
• Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer
• Warehouse Operative Picking customer orders, loading vans and making regular checks to ensure all orders are picked correctly
• Oversee the dispatch of orders and coordinate van deliveries
• Checking and putting away supplier deliveries, informing your line manager of any shortages or damaged stock
• Assist with a rolling stock taking program, ensuring all stock is located correctly at all times
• Assist with maintaining a clean and safe working environment
