Hours of Work: 45 hours per week – Monday to Friday, starting at 6.30am.

We have a rare opportunity to join our team as a Distribution Team Leader at our Regional Distribution Centre in Bristol.

Reporting to the Regional Distribution Centre Manager, the Team Leader is responsible for assisting in the daily operational management of drivers.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the RDC Manager in managing a team of Delivery Drivers, providing relief cover for holidays, sickness, and training.
• Loading and unloading trucks to deliver orders, maintaining high customer service standards.
• Assisting in unloading/breaking down pallets and sorting goods into route order.
• Conducting random vehicle checks to ensure correct items are loaded.
• Performing weekly vehicle inspections for damage, wear, and tear; reporting faults or accidents promptly.
• Participating in the recruitment of new staff members.

Ideal candidate qualities:

• Basic knowledge of Highway Code and vehicle operation regulations.
• Understanding of tachographs and EU working time regulations.
• Good supervisory and communication skills.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills due to regular contact with customers.
