Adecco is recruiting a Driver/Storeman for our Chelmsford client. The role involves delivering to customers across Essex and supporting warehouse operations, with a view to permanent placement after a successful temporary period.

Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, and you must hold a full UK driving licence. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and weekly pay, along with benefits and pension.

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour + Holiday, Pension and Adecco Benefits

Working Hours Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm - 40 hrs per week

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Start Date: Immediately after successful interview and trial

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Driver/Storeman to join our successful and growing client based in Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking to join a busy warehouse team, with the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

The successful candidate will be responsible for customer deliveries across Essex and supporting the warehouse operation, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing deliveries to customers in a professional manner. Local to Essex deliveries.
• Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Supporting the goods in/goods out process. Loading and unloading goods safely.
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure orders are dispatched on time.
• Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Packing orders ready for dispatch.
• Following order sheets and picking instructions correctly.
• Moving stock throughout the warehouse by hand.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
• Adhering to all company health and safety procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience working within a warehouse, stores, or goods in/out environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties and heavy lifting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Driver Requirements

• A valid UK Driving Licence is essential.
