Job summary

The Best Connection in Grays, Essex, is seeking a reliable Driver's Mate to join our delivery team. You will work alongside the driver to assist with daily furniture deliveries, help load and unload items, and ensure smooth handovers at customer homes while maintaining high standards of care.

The role requires good physical fitness, punctuality and teamwork. Overtime is paid after 10 hours, and full training is provided to support safe handling and compliance with health and safety procedures.

The Best Connection are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver's Mate to join our delivery team. You will be working alongside a driver, assisting with the delivery of Furniture Items. This will be on a ADHOC Basis

Pay rate is £13.16

OT after 10 hours a day is £19.74 per hour

Shifts start at 05:45am and finish times may vary due to the nature of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the driver with daily deliveries.
• Handling and lifting large, Heavy furniture items safely.
• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Ensuring all products are delivered in good condition.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements:

• Good level of physical fitness - this role involves heavy lifting.
• Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
