Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting Driver's Mates for our client based in Coatbridge. This is an ad-hoc position with shifts offered depending on our client's requirements, with potential for regular ongoing work.

You will assist the driver with deliveries, load and unload goods, and work as part of a two-person delivery team. Start times are around 06:00, Monday to Friday, with hours varying by daily deliveries.

Driver's Mate | Coatbridge

The Best Connection are currently recruiting Driver's Mates for our client based in Coatbridge.

This is an ad-hoc position, with shifts offered depending on our client's requirements. There is potential for regular and ongoing work, with some periods providing weeks of work at a time, although the availability can vary depending on business demand.

We also have a large number of clients across Coatbridge, Bellshill and Glasgow, meaning we can look to offer suitable candidates alternative work when Driver's Mate shifts are not available. This may include warehouse, general operative and other manual roles.

Working Hours

• Start time: Approximately 06:00
• Monday - Friday
• Finish times will vary depending on the day's deliveries
• Shifts offered on an ad-hoc basis depending on business requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the driver with deliveries to customers
• Loading and unloading goods from the vehicle

Requirements

• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to arrive in Coatbridge for approximately 06:00 starts
• Flexible and available for ad-hoc work
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Good attitude and strong work ethic
• Previous warehouse, delivery or manual handling experience preferred
• Own transport is beneficial due to the early start time
