Job summary

Pickfords Move Management Ltd in the UK is seeking a self-motivated leader to deliver superior customer service and to manage a regional branch in the Manager’s absence. You will ensure compliance with company procedures, standards of discipline, workmanship and safety at all times while directing the team.

You should have strong supervisory experience in moving or logistics, a clean driving record, and the ability to work away from home.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

A self-motivated person capable of delivering superior customer service by demonstrating a high degree of leadership, flexibility and a conscientious approach to getting the job done. There is a requirement for the jobholder to manage a Regional Branch in the Manager’s absence. The jobholder will be fully conversant with and conform to company procedures and will ensure company instructions, standards of discipline, workmanship and safety of themselves and the workers under their direct control are maintained at all times.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

• Literate and numerate.
• GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent standard desirable.
• Candidate will obtain valid LGV (category C or C+E).
• Candidate will obtain valid Drivers CPC Certificate.
• Compliant with established legal tachograph procedures and Attended Basic Practical Course and passed assessment.
• Attended Advanced Packing Skills Course and passes assessment.
• Attended Supervisory/Team Leader Skills Course and passed assessment.
• Attended Customer Service training (as available) and Attended Introduction to Management training (as available).
• Attended Health & Safety/Risk Assessment training (as available). andAttended FLT training, where applicable.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Handling customers to a superior level of service delivery.
• Directing and controlling team members, liaising directly with customers and Good geographic knowledge of UK.
• Knowledge of working time directive.
• Ensuring Company instructions and standards of discipline, workmanship and safety (including accident reporting) are maintained at all times.
• Advanced supervisory and team leadership/motivated skills.
• Ability to work from plans/drawings and instruct staff accordingly.
