Job summary

Alliance Healthcare Management Services Limited in Redruth, Cornwall, is hiring a Multi Drop Van Driver to ensure the speedy, accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

This full-time role covers 48 hours per week with a salary of £35,642.88, plus a contributory pension, EAP, employee discounts, and holiday entitlements; you will perform vehicle checks and support warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence (relevant to vehicle). Points may affect shortlisting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent customer care.
• Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
• Desirable previous multi-drop delivery driving experience.
• Route planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pharmaceuticals safely and efficiently to pharmacies and hospitals.
• Maintain vehicle to roadworthy conditions; check lights, brakes, coolant.
• Report faults, breakdowns, accidents, or delays.
• Keep vehicle clean and secure; manage fuel for the day.
• Load orders correctly and check drop sheets.
• Manage returns and maintain branch liaison per instructions.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer relations.
• Participate in warehouse duties as needed.
• Meet Health & Safety requirements.

Job Title: Multi Drop Van Driver

Job Summary

To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To always maintain a smart appearance.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

• Essential A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven Whilst we do not ask for a clean license, we will assess the risk of employing applicants who have points on their license, and this may affect our decision to shortlist.
