Job summary

Energas, part of the Air Liquide Group, seeks a dedicated Driver for the Middlesbrough area. You will operate heavy goods vehicles safely, deliver cylinders to customer sites, and manage documentation with accuracy while upholding high service standards.

Applicants must hold a clean LGV C license with Driver CPC, ADR qualification, and proven multi-drop experience. A strong safety mindset and good geographical knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold LGV C (HGV 2) license with a clean driving record and a valid Driver's CPC Card.
• ADR qualification is required.
• Proven experience in multi-drop deliveries and good local/regional knowledge.
• Good health and fitness for manual handling of cylinders; company medical may be required.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills for accurate logging and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality multi-drop delivery services to customer sites and depots on schedule.
• Maintain load and vehicle security; ensure all safety equipment meets ADR standards.
• Keep vehicle clean and carry out routine upkeep.
• Complete daily documentation including tachograph charts, advice notes, and fuel mileage; ensure work hours comply with regulations.
• Obtain signatures, collect payments when required, and maintain high customer service standards.
• Follow Health and Environment policies and the company 12 Life-Saving Rules.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Energas is currently searching for a dedicated Driver to join our Energas team in Middlesbrough.

In this role, your primary mission is to operate our heavy goods vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently. You will play a pivotal part in our supply chain, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery and of company cylinders/cylinder packs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Execute high-quality multi-drop delivery services, ensuring products reach customer sites and company depots on schedule.
• Maintain full responsibility for load and vehicle security, ensuring all mechanical and safety equipment is in working order in line with ADR standards.
• Ensuring your assigned vehicle is kept clean, and being responsible for its upkeep
• Manage essential daily documentation, including advice notes, tachograph charts, and fuel mileage, while ensuring all work hours align with WTD regulations.
• Obtaining signatures, collecting payments when required, and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• Prioritise the well-being of staff, customers, and the public by strictly adhering to our Health and Environment policies and our 12 Life-Saving Rules.

We are looking for a disciplined driver with great customer service skills and a commitment to safety.

You will also need:

• A minimum LGV C (HGV 2) license with a full, clean driving record and a valid Driver's CPC Card.
• A valid ADR qualification.
• Proven experience in multi-drop deliveries and a strong geographical knowledge of the local and regional areas.
• A good standard of health and fitness is required for the manual handling of cylinders, and you must be willing to undergo a company medical if requested.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills are required for accurate logging and reporting.
• FLT Licence an advantage but not essential.
