Job summary

Burdens, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking an HGV driver based in Newmains to operate a Class 2 vehicle with HIAB, delivering civils materials and maintaining high safety standards. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday with 45 hours per week, offering a base salary and bonus opportunities.

You will build strong customer relationships, perform daily checks, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements in a construction materials environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 licence with HIAB experience.
• CPC card and Digital Tacho card.
• Ability to use handheld devices on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 vehicle with HIAB safely and efficiently.
• Delivering and collecting materials in the civils sector.
• Build good customer relationships and uphold company standards.
• Carry out daily vehicle and load checks and report defects.

As a HGV Driver based in Newmains you’ll be responsible for:

• The safe and efficient driving of a Class 2 vehicle with HIAB.
• Delivering and collecting materials in the civils sector of the construction industry.
• Building excellent relationships with customers and representing the business to the very highest of standards.
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 45 hours per week Monday to Friday
