Job summary

Felix is recruiting a Driver/Depot Assistant to support the smooth operation of our food distribution services. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude.

Initial duties include organising deliveries at the depot and driving to partner organisations. You will be the face of Felix on the road, helping to enhance service quality while representing the charity to partner organisations.

Job description

Hours/Days per week:37.5 hours per week, Shift basis 5 days out of 7 (Mon-Sun). Any 7.5 hours between 07:30 and 19:00.

Requirements: Felix can only employ applicants who currently have the right to work in the UK and a clean drivers license. As part of our safer recruitment policy, we do ask questions regarding unspent criminal records

Purpose of the Job

We are looking for the Driver/Depot Assistant to play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our food distribution services. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude. While the role offers a high degree of flexibility, initial responsibilities include:

Organising and sorting food deliveries at the depot

Driving or co-driving to deliver and collect food from partner organisations

As the face of Felix on the road, you will represent the charity to our supported organisations and help enhance the quality of service we provide. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build experience and make a meaningful impact in the charitable sector.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your normal duties and responsibilities will be set out in your job description. However, the charity may require you to perform other duties from time to time.

• Willingness to engage in light to medium physical work as part of your daily job
• Previous warehouse experience and use of a pump truck
• Ability and willingness to work in a busy environment
• Ability to work within a team of varied individuals
• Meticulous organisation skills and attention to detail
• Committed to reducing food waste, food poverty
• Full UK Driving Licence (with no more than 6 points) held for at least 1 year over age 21 for insurance purposes
