Job summary

Brakes is hiring in Reading for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. You’ll deliver ambient, chilled and frozen products to customers across the local region, ensuring on-time, safe deliveries and compliance with food hygiene standards.

You’ll maintain load plans, keep accurate records, and build strong relationships with customers and colleagues. The role involves early starts (04:30–06:00) and a Monday–Friday pattern with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Qualified Class 2 Driver with valid CPC and full UK licence.
• Experience delivering ambient, chilled and frozen goods.
• Strong customer service and load planning skills.

Responsibilities

£44,686 (£18.62 per hour) plus up to £1500 annual bonus + a great range of benefits

Foodservice - Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturdays - starting between 04:30 - 06:00

Logistics - Week 1 6 days on (Mon-Sat) then Week 2 4 days on (Mon-Sat) Permanent Sunday off starting between 04:00 - 07:00
