Job summary

Micheldever Tyre Services (MTS) is seeking a reliable Class 2 Driver for trunking bulk deliveries across the logistics network and assisting with loading/unloading to support the warehouse operation.

Reporting to the Transport or Site Manager, you will follow procedures, ensure safe systems of work, and complete paperwork accurately while keeping vehicles roadworthy and delivering excellent customer service across internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (C - Class 2) held for at least 6 months.
• C+E – Class 1 also accepted.
• Tacho Licence and DCPC Licence required.
• Age restrictions may apply – points or offences may affect your application.
• Micheldever will update DCPC with annual training.

Responsibilities

• Collection of Bulk Deliveries / Containers from receiving Ports.
• Transportation of Containers to specified locations across the Network.
• Multi-Drop delivery of tyres to MTS Customer Base and Distribution Centres within MTS network.
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Assist to maintain the vehicle in a roadworthy manner.
• Ensure documentation is correct prior to vehicle release.

About the role:

Collection of Bulk Deliveries / Containers from receiving Ports.

Transportation of Containers to specified locations across the Network.

Some Non-UK Mainland Trunking work may berequired(Ireland / IOW / Channel Isles).

Multi-Drop delivery of tyres to MTS Customer Base and Distribution Centres within MTS network using (up to and including) Class 1/2 vehicles as required by the business.

Collection of Customer Returns to Distribution Centres.

Occasional monetary collections from Customers (including cash accounts).

Assistwith loading and un-loading of vehicles.

Assisttomaintainthe vehicle in a roadworthy manner, through Company Practices and Procedures.

Ensure legal complianceismaintainedat all times

Ensure documentation is correct to vehicle & load prior to vehicle release from site.

Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately andon-time

About you:

Previousexperience within a similar role

Experience ofmulti-dropdeliveries

Experience incompleting driver check-sheets and paperwork

Excellent work ethic and customer service skills

Full UK driving licence (C - Class 2) or (C+E – Class 1)

DCPC Licence
