Job summary

Speedy Hire in Warrington seeks a Driver Category C (Class 2) to be the face of Speedy on the road, delivering and collecting equipment and serving customers with safety and professionalism. You'll load and secure gear, perform safety checks, complete paperwork, and work with transport and hire desk teams.

Applicants should hold a Category C licence, Driver CPC, tachograph card, and have UK driving experience.

Qualifications

• Full UK Category C (Class 2) licence and Driver CPC.
• Digital tachograph card holder.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Experience driving commercially in the UK.
• Good knowledge of Warrington or surrounding area.

Driver Category C - Warrington

Monday to Friday | 06:00-15:00 | 45 hours per week

The role

As one of our drivers, you'll be the face of Speedy on the road and with our customers. You'll be responsible for:

• Safely loading, securing, transporting and unloading powered access equipment


• Driving a rigid vehicle with a plant body and/or beavertail


• Carrying out vehicle and equipment safety checks


• Delivering and collecting equipment safely and on time


• Completing delivery paperwork and digital records accurately


• Working closely with our transport and hire desk teams


• Providing excellent customer service


• Following all road traffic and health & safety requirements

What You’ll Need

• Full UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence


• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card


• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence


• Experience driving commercially within the UK


• Good knowledge of the local area


• A strong focus on safety and customer service


• A positive, reliable and self-motivated approach


• Powered access, plant or beavertail experience would be an advantage
