Job summary

Holman UK is recruiting a Driver Care Fleet Adviser (Maternity Cover) to join the Operations Team at our Birmingham office near the NEC. Hybrid working is available after an initial 6-month review, with a temporary 12-month contract and salary circa £28,000 per annum.

The role involves handling incoming calls, booking service, maintenance and repairs for company vehicles, arranging recovery and courtesy vehicles, and keeping customers informed while maintaining a professional telephone manner.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service-related role is essential.
• Able to remain calm, empathetic and professional in difficult situations.
• Proficient PC skills; comfortable with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Take incoming calls to organise service, maintenance and repairs.
• Receive breakdown calls and arrange service with suppliers.
• Ensure recovery vehicles are arranged promptly and inform customers of progress.
• Arrange courtesy vehicles or initial rental arrangements as required.
• Escalate any concerns to the Team Leader and handle ad hoc tasks.

This role will be based out of our Birmingham office near the NEC, with the opportunity for hybrid working, following a 6-month review period, details of which will be discussed at interview. This is a temporary 12-month opportunity, and we are looking to pay circa £28,000 per annum.We are looking for someone with a positive, confident, and approachable communication style, with the ability to adapt to accommodate customers, colleagues, suppliers and other contacts. You must be able to deal with a variety of situations with diplomacy whilst remaining calm and maintain a consistently professional telephone manner when dealing with internal and external calls. You will need excellent questioning and listening skills with an ability to assimilate accurate information.Key Responsibilities will include:Take incoming calls from customers who wish to organise service, maintenance and repairs for their company vehiclesReceive calls from customers who have broken downOrganise and book service, maintenance and repairs with the appropriate suppliersEnsure that recovery vehicles are organised promptlyOrganise courtesy vehicles or make first arrangement for rental vehiclesSchedule other ancillary services as requiredKeep customers and other interested parties informed of progressEscalate any concerns to the department Team LeaderAd hoc tasks as required by the businessWhat are we looking for?Experience of working within a customer service-related role is essential, ideally in a service or contact centre environmentExperience of working within a pressurised environment, with the ability to remain calm, empathetic and professional in difficult situationsA good general level of education is requiredSound administrative skills are essentialMust be adept in the use of a PC, internet and email and able to grasp new software applications easily and quickly.
