Job description

Come and join us as a Driver and Warehouse Assistant on a flexible hours basis to help us grow, deliver sales and exceed customer expectations. You will be contracted to 16 hours a week, but you will be flexible to work a weekly pattern of up to 37.5 hours to cover peak trading hours, holidays, and meet business needs.

Role Overview

As a Driver and Warehouse Assistant, you’ll be committed to delivering outstanding service, professional, driven, and enthusiastic. Reporting to the branch management team, you will provide high-level service to internal and external customers, deliver products within tight deadlines, and assist in the warehouse. You may also serve customers at the trade counter and over the phone, promoting our inclusive team environment and ensuring excellent service to maximize sales.

Requirements

• Valid driving licence with previous driving experience
• Flexibility to work up to 37.5 hours per week, with hours scheduled in advance
• Ability to maintain health and safety standards for yourself and your vehicle
• Good vehicle maintenance and compliance with transport laws
• Experience with stock handling and deliveries
• Customer service skills, supporting sales targets and maintaining high standards
• Willingness to support general branch duties, including serving customers and maintaining cleanliness

Desirable Skills and Attributes

Previous warehouse and driving experience, knowledge of industry products, and flexibility in working hours. A positive attitude towards customer service and teamwork is essential.
