Job summary

Solus Accident Repair Centres Company is seeking an experienced driver to manage car collections and deliveries with a focus on accuracy and customer service. You will operate in a fast-paced accident repair environment and handle damage documentation, signatures, and smooth handovers.

You will drive a 3.5t recovery van (no HGV requirement) using a standard license, while maintaining vehicle references and reporting any issues to the Production Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience of driving within recovery.
• Very customer‑focused with great customer handling skills.
• Knowledge of the area local to our repair centre.
• Hold a current valid driving license meeting fleet insurance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Collect cars within agreed timescales and ensure excellent service on collection and delivery.
• Process cash and credit card transactions following company procedures.
• Complete forms to indicate damage and identify accident-related issues; obtain customer signature.
• Highlight defects identified during loading/unloading and report to Production Manager.
• Ensure all jobs are referenced and filed on completion.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the pace and pressure of an accident repair environment and takes pride in organisation, accuracy and supporting members of the wider team.

What you’ll be doing

The future is exciting now the technologies used in vehicle repair are evolving every day, which is really helping us re‑shape the vehicle repair industry. That's why we're excited to grow our teams and looking for people to join us as a Drive Back Driver-

An HGV Licence is not a requirement in this role, but you will need to be able and willing to drive one of our 3.5t recovery vans, which can be driven on a normal driving license.

You will have responsibility for collecting cars within the agreed timescales, ensuring that the customer receives the very best possible service on collection and delivery of their car, ensuring all cash and credit card transactions are accounted for and that all transactions are processed following company procedures.

You will complete forms to indicate any damage on the car and specify accident‑related damage and highlight any old damage, take digital photographs – and gain a signature from the customer.

You will highlight any defects identified during loading/unloading of vehicles or as identified at the handover of the vehicle to the customer and bring to the attention of the Production Manager.

You will also ensure all jobs are referenced and filed on completion of job.
