Job summary

Veolia UK is recruiting for a Class 1 HGV driver at our Willenhall site. You will operate roll-off vehicles at our paper and cardboard material recovery facility, perform vehicle checks, and handle paper waste collections.

The role requires a valid Class 1 license (Cat C+E) and up-to-date CPC/Digi card, with a 40-hour week and shift pattern; weekend work on a rota basis may occur. Veolia promotes inclusion and development across its teams.

• Up to date CPC / Digi card required.
• 40 hours per week with 15:00–23:45 shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate class 1 HGV on RO/RO vehicles at a paper and cardboard facility.
• Carry out vehicle checks and routine maintenance.
• Collect paper/cardboard waste and container collections.
• Ensure loads secured and use of lifting equipment as needed.
• Assist with loading/unloading operations and manual handling.

What you'll be doing;

• We are looking for a class 1 HGV driver to fill a roll operating roll on roll off vehicles at our paper and cardboard material recovery facility.
• Vehicle checks
• Paper and cardboard waste collections
• Container collections
• Container tipping
• Load security
• Collections of confidential paper waste
• Manual handling e.g Opening closing container doors
• Use of ratchet straps
• Moving wheelie bins
• Emptying consoles
• Operating lifting equipment, bin lifts/tail lifts.
• Use of equipment to ensure loads are secured
