You will be responsible for loading, delivering, and unloading equipment, planning routes, and maintaining accurate delivery logs, while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Immediate start and a full-time schedule are offered.

We are seeking a reliable and professional Plant Hire Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering equipment efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational ability, and a strong commitment to safety and punctuality..

Duties

• Safely operate a van to deliver goods to designated locations within the scheduled timeframe.
• Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and minimise delays.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen issues.
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and receipt confirmations.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance needs.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during deliveries.
• Assist in warehouse activities as required, including stock organisation and inventory checks.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience with warehouse operations and heavy lifting is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and customers.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting heavy items safely and efficiently.
• Organised with excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
• Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations within the area of operation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
