Job summary

GAP Group in Plymouth is seeking a Driver to join our Plant & Tools division. You will deliver and collect hire equipment such as diggers, dumpers and power tools to construction sites across the UK, loading, unloading and confirming paperwork on each job.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting plant equipment to and from customer sites, completing paperwork accurately (damage checks, fuel levels, signatures)
• Starting machines on-site when requested and demonstrating equipment use
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance for roadworthiness and safety
• Safely loading and unloading equipment using proper strapping and securing methods
• Tagging damaged machines on return and placing them in the correct depot area
• Maintaining a clean and organised vehicle and supporting depot duties
• Following customer site Health & Safety rules and using digital tachographs in line with legislation

As a Driver in GAP's Plant & Tool Division, you'll be at the heart of our operations delivering essential equipment like diggers, dumpers, and power tools to construction, utilities, and infrastructure sites across the UK.

You’ll load, deliver, and collect hire equipment safely and professionally, often demonstrating kit on-site and ensuring all checks and paperwork are completed accurately. Whether you're navigating busy city streets or remote rural roads, your role is key to keeping projects running smoothly.

About You What You'll be Doing
