Job summary

Igne Group Limited in Hamilton, Glasgow, is seeking a Drilling Store Assistant to support the Drilling Store Manager in daily operations of the drilling store. You’ll receive, check, store and issue equipment and consumables, maintain stock records and ensure health and safety compliance.

The role involves delivering items to sites, keeping the store tidy and safe, and helping with basic repairs when trained.

Qualifications

• Health and safety awareness is required.
• Basic IT skills are needed.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Desirable drilling equipment understanding.
• Desirable store/warehouse/logistics background.
• Desirable tool handling and maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Support daily planning and prioritise tasks to meet changing operational needs.
• Receive, sort, store and issue drilling equipment, recording all items issued and returned.
• Deliver equipment, consumables and sundries to and from sites.
• Maintain stock and asset records, monitor levels and replenish supplies.
• Identify damaged equipment and report issues; carry out basic repairs when trained.
• Keep store and yard clean, tidy and safe with clear access routes.

Job description

Are you organised, practical and ready to keep essential drilling operations running smoothly? Igne are recruiting for a Drilling Store Assistant to support our operations in Hamilton, Glasgow. As a Drilling Store Assistant, you will support the Drilling Store Manager in the smooth, safe and efficient daily operation of the drilling store. As a Drilling Store Assistant, you’ll make sure all drilling equipment and consumables are received, checked and stored correctly. You’ll keep everything well maintained, issue and record items as needed, and ensure the store stays organised and compliant with health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• Support daily planning and help prioritise tasks to meet changing operational needs.
• Receive, sort, store and issue drilling equipment, recording all items issued and returned.
• Deliver essential equipment, consumables and sundries to and from operational sites.
• Maintain stock and asset records, monitor levels, replenish supplies and prepare items for daily use.
• Identify damaged or unserviceable equipment, report issues and carry out basic repairs when trained.
• Keep the store and yard clean, tidy and safe, removing hazards and maintaining clear access routes.
