Job summary

Siemens Energy Limited in Newcastle Upon Tyne is seeking a Draughtsperson within Service Engineering. You will join the Draughting Team in Newcastle and work with our wider network to ensure activities meet contract costs, budgets, timelines and quality standards, supporting manufacture or procurement of components.

The role requires 3 years in engineering, proficiency in CAD tools (Siemens NX, PTC Creo, AutoCAD) and PLM/BOM software (SAP, Teamcenter).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in an engineering environment.
• Knowledge/experience of draughting skills and techniques.
• Knowledge/experience of CAD Software packages i.e. Siemens NX, PTC Creo, GTX Raster CAD, AutoCAD.
• Knowledge/experience of PLM & BOM Management Software packages: - SAP & Teamcenter.
• Responsible for the execution of assigned work packages with a focus on attention to detail.
• Good written and spoken communication skills (fluent in English).
• A commitment to safety and sustainability, aligned with our Zero Harm values and culture.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

In your role as a Draughtsperson within Service Engineering at Siemens Energy; you will work with our Draughting Team based in Newcastle whilst working alongside our wider network colleagues based in other Siemens Energy locations. This role requires you to ensure all activities are delivered within specified contract costs or development budgets, agreed timescales, and defined quality standards. Your work will support the manufacture or procurement of components required to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include:-

• Support technical issues and attending meetings

• Submit 3D models, 2D drawings & Material Master workflows via PLM Tools Teamcenter & SAP
• Contribute to quality and continuous improvement activities.
• Integrated into our COE team, you will execute work packages to support on time delivery of the required deliverables to our internal and external customers.
• You will be required to work independently and as part of a team as well as interface with internal and external stakeholders, as required.
• Check all work is suitable for purpose and has been carried out in accordance with valid rules, tools and procedures.
