Draughtsperson required to join a fast-growing engineering company specialising in bespoke special purpose machinery for highly regulated industries, based in Winchester. The Draughtsperson will be responsible for producing mechanical engineering drawings compliant with BS and other relevant standards, with thorough knowledge of SolidWorks. They will also provide feedback and training to other engineers regarding best practice draughting techniques and methods.

The Package:

• Salary – £35,000 - £54,000, DOE
• 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri 08:30-17:30, Friday 08:30-16:30

Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality engineering drawings compliant with BS standards.
• Support Design Engineers during detail design, ensuring proper application of tolerances, limits, and fits.
• Convey design intent on manufacturing drawings.
• Understand the company supply chain to ensure manufacturing capabilities are reflected in designs.
• Assist in checking engineering drawings when required.
• Support the Lead Draughtsperson in updating draughting procedures.
• Be a hands-on SolidWorks design asset when needed.
• Assist in clerical and administrative duties to ensure smooth department operations.

Required Skills:

• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries.
• Experienced in SolidWorks, preferably with PDM.
• Knowledge of BS and relevant standards is advantageous.
