Job summary

GSL Education Hull Branch is seeking a creative Drama Teacher to inspire pupils through performance and storytelling in Market Weighton. You will plan and deliver engaging drama lessons, adapting for individual needs and encouraging confidence, collaboration and self-expression in a specialist educational setting.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, strong drama knowledge and excellent communication, with a focus on safeguarding.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong Drama subject knowledge including practical performance and creative teaching techniques.
• Experience in settings supporting pupils with additional learning needs is desirable.
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
• Creative, patient and adaptable approach with commitment to helping pupils build confidence.
• Up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years with explanations for any gaps.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

Salary Scale: £34,068 to £52,834 per annum (Depending on experience)

GSL Education Hull Branch are currently looking for a Drama Teacher to work in a specialist educational setting in Market Weighton. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative educator who can use drama to develop pupils’ confidence, communication and social skills while encouraging self-expression and teamwork.

Drama Teacher Role:

The successful Drama Teacher will plan and deliver practical drama lessons that encourage imagination, collaboration and performance skills. You will adapt activities to suit pupils’ individual needs, create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable participating and use creative approaches to help pupils develop confidence, emotional expression and positive relationships.

Drama Teacher Responsibilities:

• Previous teaching experience is desirable, particularly in settings supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
• A creative, patient and adaptable approach, with a commitment to helping pupils build confidence and achieve their potential.
• An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
