Job summary

Teach South is seeking a Drama Teacher for supply roles in Hastings and surrounding areas. The work spans day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements, with opportunities to teach KS3/KS4 and GCSE Drama as required.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or teaching experience in secondary drama, with a strong subject knowledge and a creative, engaging approach to inspire students and manage practical lessons effectively.

Qualifications

• QTS or Qualified Teacher Status.
• Secondary Drama teaching experience in schools.
• Strong subject knowledge and engaging teaching style.
• Creative and confident approach to delivering drama lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and ability to inspire students.

Responsibilities

• Teach Drama across KS3 and KS4 in Hastings area.
• Deliver practical and theory-based lessons, including GCSE Drama where needed.
• Develop students' confidence and performance skills.
• Create engaging and creative lessons and plan for longer-term placements.
• Manage practical lessons and groups effectively with diverse abilities.
