Do you have a passion for performance and creativity? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join a vibrant Performing Arts department and inspire students to express themselves with confidence and imagination.

Job Details

As a Drama Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach GCSE or A-Level Drama and Theatre depending on experience. You’ll foster students’ confidence, collaboration, and creativity through performance, script work, improvisation, and theatre studies. The position begins in September 2025.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons that develop performance skills and theatrical knowledge
  2. Prepare students for practical assessments and written examinations
  3. Organise and direct school productions, showcases, or performances
  4. Support students in developing teamwork, confidence, and communication skills
  5. Contribute to an enriching extra-curricular drama program
  6. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related discipline
  • Experience teaching Drama at secondary level (NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply)
  • A passion for theatre, performance, and student development
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
  • Willingness to contribute to school life beyond the classroom
