Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking an enthusiastic Drama Teacher (with some English) for a full-time, long-term position from September to December 2026 in Croydon. You will deliver engaging Drama lessons while also teaching a small English timetable, aligned to the national curriculum.

Ideal candidates hold QTS, have secondary Drama experience, and can confidently cover English across KS3/KS4. A DBS update and reference checks are required as part of the registration process.

Qualifications

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Drama at secondary level.
  • Confident delivering English lessons across Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and strong communication skills.
  • Willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Disclosure if not already on Update Service.

  • Deliver high-quality Drama lessons that engage and challenge students.

Are you a passionate and creative Drama Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026 until December 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to inspire students through engaging and imaginative Drama lessons while also delivering a small timetable of English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role
  • Deliver high-quality Drama lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Teach a small number of English lessons as part of the timetable.
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider English and Performing Arts departments.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Drama at secondary level.
  • Confident delivering English lessons across Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and strong communication skills.
  • Is passionate about inspiring young people and supporting their academic and personal development.
  • Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
