Full-Time Drama/Performing Arts Teacher – Southampton, Hampshire

Are you a passionate Drama/Performing Arts teacher looking for your next exciting opportunity? GSL Education is offering a full-time Drama/Performing Arts Teacher position at a vibrant secondary school in Southampton. The role starts in September 2025 with an annual salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000, depending on experience.

This role includes school tours before the interview to familiarize you with the environment. The school welcomes Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators, providing a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging Drama and Performing Arts lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Encourage creativity, collaboration, and confidence through performance.
• Plan and assess lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Support extracurricular productions and performances.
• Create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

• Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Experience or specialization in Drama, Theatre Studies, or Performing Arts.
• Strong subject knowledge and engaging teaching skills.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for the arts and nurturing talent.
• Open to both ECTs and seasoned teachers.
• Updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
