Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking an Engineer - Drainage and Water to join our design team in the UK, with opportunities based in Exeter, Ipswich or Salford. The role focuses on delivering drainage and water solutions across multiple sectors, applying standards and regulations, and working with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will take ownership of technical outputs at task level, support package delivery, and be willing to travel with a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Drainage & Water design across sectors.
• Ability to apply design standards and regulations.
• Willingness to travel and hold full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tasks within work packages to a high standard, ensuring coordination, compliance and sustainability.
• Apply design standards, regulations and quality processes, and support design reviews.
• Manage delivery of individual tasks within the programme and budget, escalating issues and proposing solutions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners to ensure alignment with wider project delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers or apprentices where appropriate.
