Job summary

FM Conway is seeking motivated Drainage Operatives to join our Water and Drainage Management team in Colchester. You'll work beside an experienced HGV Driver in a two-person crew, carrying out planned drainage maintenance and emergency callouts, using specialist equipment.

You'll learn HPWJ, CCTV surveys, and GIS Trimble, with a focus on health and safety. A full UK driving licence is required, and probation offers training including potential HGV Apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required with a strong commitment to health and safety.
• Hands-on drainage experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a two-person crew.

Responsibilities

• Support drainage engineers with maintenance and repair work.
• Assist with High Pressure Water Jetting and CCTV drainage surveys.
• Carry out drainage cleaning, investigations and planned maintenance.
• Respond to emergency and reactive drainage callouts.
• Operate the GIS Trimble system in line with procedures.
• Work safely as part of a close-knit team using specialist vehicles and equipment.
