Job summary

Streamline Services Consultancy Limited is seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer/Plumber to join the team around Gatwick, with work across London and surrounding areas. The role requires independence, reliability and practical problem-solving on drainage and plumbing jobs, including CCTV surveys when needed.

The successful candidate will travel to sites with door-to-door travel time paid, operate on a 45-hour week starting at 06:30, and earn £17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications are desirable but not essential; hands-on drainage or plumbing experience matters most.
• Full UK driving licence is essential to travel to sites across London and surroundings.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out drainage and plumbing works across domestic and commercial properties.
• Diagnose and resolve drainage and plumbing issues efficiently.
• Undertake repairs, maintenance and installation work.
• Clear blocked drains using appropriate equipment and methods.
• Carry out CCTV drainage surveys where required.
• Identify faults and recommend suitable solutions.
• Work safely and professionally on customer sites.
• Complete job sheets and provide accurate information on works carried out.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment to a good standard.
• Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Follow all relevant health & safety procedures.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer / Plumber to join our team, based around the Gatwick area and working across London and the surrounding areas.

The role will suit someone who is reliable, practical and confident working independently on a range of drainage and plumbing jobs. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to sites across London and the surrounding areas, with travel time paid door-to-door.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out drainage and plumbing works across domestic and commercial properties
• Diagnose and resolve drainage and plumbing issues efficiently
• Undertake repairs, maintenance and installation work
• Clear blocked drains using appropriate equipment and methods
• Carry out CCTV drainage surveys where required

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Drainage Engineer, Drainage Operative, Plumber or similar
• Able to diagnose problems and work independently
• Full UK driving licence – essential
• Reliable, punctual and willing to travel
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working outdoors and in different environments
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional Saturdays

Qualifications & Certifications
