Job summary

Coastal Drains Ltd in Sussex is seeking a Drainage Engineer to inspect, design and maintain drainage systems on-site. You will assess conditions, prepare designs, and perform flood risk calculations, supporting installation and remediation while coordinating with PMs, field teams and clients.

Technical reports and survey data reviews are part of the role, with continuous improvement expected. The position requires on-site work across Sussex, with a valid driving license and ability to travel

Qualifications

• Experience in flood risk assessment and water resource management for drainage projects.
• Proficiency in stormwater planning, design and maintenance.
• Hands-on knowledge of drainage systems operation, inspection, and rehabilitation.
• Ability to develop drainage design drawings and calculations for varied projects.
• Degree or qualification in civil/environmental engineering or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with drainage/environmental regulations, permits and standards.
• Competence with CAD or drainage modeling software and standard office tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; safety on-site.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities
