We are excited to announce a major contract win with Southern Water and are recruiting Drainage Engineers to work in pairs across the Isle of Wight. This is a great opportunity to start or advance your career with us at Lanes Group!

This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, traveling to sites, and delivering high-quality drainage services. Full training, PPE, and equipment will be provided to ensure you can perform at your best, regardless of previous experience.

Position Details
  • Location: Fairlee Depot, Newport, Isle of Wight
  • Type: Permanent, full-time
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours/week
  • Salary: £30,500 per annum
  • Benefits: 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, health cash plan, onsite parking, pension scheme, friendly environment
About the Role

You will work on our Southern Water contract, addressing wastewater and drainage issues by:

  1. Traveling in teams to residential sites, using high-pressure water jets for restoration
  2. Cleaning and maintaining drainage systems
  3. Recording work accurately using specialist equipment
  4. Running diagnostics and repairs on drains
  5. Providing excellent customer service
  6. Maintaining safety standards and vehicle stock
  7. Utilizing platforms like VISTEC and Salesforce
  8. Liaising with clients and working independently in all weather conditions
  9. Conducting risk assessments and supporting colleagues
  10. Inspecting tools and equipment, reporting malfunctions
  11. Adhering to all safety policies and procedures
  12. Performing any other duties as required

About You

The ideal candidate is hardworking, respectful, and safety-conscious. Experience with high-pressure jetting is beneficial but not essential.
