Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Drainage Engineer to cover seven high-end residential buildings across Canary Wharf and Battersea, London. You will perform planned and reactive drainage maintenance, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and support drainage plans to keep systems operational.

The role offers a salary up to £48,000 PAYE or £180/day CIS, travel allowance, company van, and solid benefits including private healthcare and pension.

Qualifications

• Recognised plumbing qualification, such as City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with commercial drainage systems.
• Legionella / L8 awareness or qualification.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience within commercial building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
• Good communication and client-facing skills.
• Must be able to provide copies of relevant trade certificates.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive drainage maintenance across multiple high-end residential sites.
• Undertaking drainage camera surveys of rainwater gullies, stacks and below-ground drainage systems.
• Diagnosing drainage faults and recommending appropriate remedial or improvement works.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of drainage plans and asset information.
• Supervising and coordinating specialist drainage subcontractors on-site.
• Primarily supporting landlord areas, with some tenant-area works when required.
• Completing accurate reports, maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Working closely with clients and site teams to ensure drainage systems remain operational and well maintained.

Drainage Engineer – FM Service Provider – High-End Residential Buildings – Canary Wharf, London – Up to £48,000 / £180 per day PAYE or CIS

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Drainage Engineer to work across a portfolio of seven high-end residential buildings, including six sites in Canary Wharf and one in Battersea.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive drainage maintenance, working closely with clients, site teams and specialist subcontractors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Drainage Engineer looking for a stable, site-based role with good benefits and opportunities for career progression.

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
