Job description

We're looking for a full-time CAD Piping Design Drafter to join our team. This is a great position for an individual interested in expanding their drafting career with a growing company! Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and revise 3-D models utilizing BIM software.
• Prepare and revise 2-D engineering drawings and 3-D models in Autodesk Revit according to established standards.
• Create and revise equipment layout, piping, instrumentation, mechanical, civil, structural, and architectural drawings and models.
• Develop drawings and models from sketches, plans, and instructions.
• Utilize Redline system and ensure updates across the drawing set.
• Communicate with project engineers, managers, contractors, and staff as needed.
• Support development of design standards, user guides, and procedures for consistent documentation.
• Perform engineering support tasks like plotting, filing, and creating PDFs.
• Test updates or new versions of CAD/CAE tools for compatibility and new features.
• Support engineering and maintenance groups with other tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will be organized, friendly, punctual, flexible, and professional, with:

• Associate's degree in CAD drafting/design or related field; relevant work experience can substitute.
• 1-3 years of experience with CAD software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, Speedikon, COMOS, or E3D, preferably in engineering/construction projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Ability to work independently on drafting tasks.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills in English (oral and written).
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:
