Job summary

Qualifications

• Effective communication with workshop, design and project teams to resolve queries.
• Basic knowledge of joinery materials, hardware, and manufacturing processes; CNC workflows beneficial.
• Vocational drafting/design/engineering training is preferred.
• Experience in joinery, furniture or construction environments is advantageous.
• On-site Croydon work availability and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced workshop.

Role Description

The Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Croydon, responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and plans for bespoke joinery projects. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed CAD drawings from design concepts, interpreting architectural and design specifications, and preparing clear documentation for the workshop and installation teams. The role involves coordinating with designers, project managers, and joiners to ensure drawings reflect client requirements, material constraints, and manufacturing capabilities. The Drafter will also update drawings based on feedback, maintain drawing standards and files, and support continuous improvement of drafting processes.

• Candidates should possess strong technical drawing and CAD skills (e.g., AutoCAD, similar drafting software) for joinery or related fields.
