Job summary

Bimplus in London is seeking an experienced Joinery Draughtsman to join a well-established bespoke joinery and interiors contractor. You will produce accurate technical drawings for manufacture and installation of high-end joinery packages.

Working with design, project management and production teams, you will translate architectural designs into workshop-ready drawings, covering sections, elevations and construction details while maintaining design intent and manufacturing requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience as Joinery Draughtsman or related roles.
• Strong bespoke joinery or interior fit-out experience.
• Excellent understanding of joinery construction and manufacturing.
• Ability to produce detailed manufacturing and setting-out drawings.
• Interpret architectural drawings and specifications with attention to detail.

• Produce detailed 2D technical and manufacturing drawings for bespoke joinery.
• Develop drawings from architectural designs and client information.
• Create detailed sections, elevations and construction details.
• Prepare drawings suitable for manufacture, workshop production and site installation.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Designers, Architects and the workshop team.
• Ensure drawings accurately reflect design intent and manufacturing requirements.
• Review and amend drawings following client and design-team comments.
• Resolve technical and design issues prior to manufacture.
• Work across multiple bespoke joinery projects simultaneously.

Job Title: Joinery Draughtsman - Bespoke Joinery

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Joinery Draughtsman to join a well-established bespoke joinery and interiors contractor based in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong draughtsman with a solid background in bespoke joinery, high-end interiors and detailed manufacturing drawings.

The Role

Working closely with the design, project management and production teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed technical drawings for the manufacture and installation of bespoke joinery packages.

Projects will typically involve high-quality bespoke joinery and interior fit-out packages across the luxury residential, hospitality and commercial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D technical and manufacturing drawings for bespoke joinery.
• Develop drawings from architectural designs, specifications and client information.
• Produce detailed sections, elevations and construction details.
• Prepare drawings suitable for manufacture, workshop production and site installation.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Designers, Architects and the workshop team.
• Ensure drawings accurately reflect design intent and manufacturing requirements.
• Review and amend drawings following client and design-team comments.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Joinery Draughtsman, Joinery Designer, Setter Out or Technical Designer.
• Strong experience within bespoke joinery or high-end interior fit-out.
• Excellent understanding of joinery construction and manufacturing methods.
• Ability to produce detailed manufacturing and setting-out drawings.
• Good understanding of materials, finishes, ironmongery and joinery detailing.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working closely with joinery workshops and project teams.

A background working on high-end residential, luxury interiors, hotels, restaurants, retail or commercial fit-out projects would be particularly advantageous.
