Job summary

HydRegen Limited, an Oxford-based biotechnology company, is expanding its R&D to develop purification and product-recovery processes for commercial applications. This role focuses on advancing purification methods, exploring filtration, extraction, evaporation and crystallisation to improve product yield and process efficiency.

You will work alongside chemists, bioprocessing and process engineering colleagues to create scalable, industry-ready downstream solutions.

Qualifications

• Background in Chemistry, Bioprocessing, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with downstream processing, purification or product recovery.
• Industrial experience isn't essential; MSc/PhD or academic project welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Developing and optimising purification and downstream processing methods.
• Investigating techniques including filtration, extraction, evaporation and crystallisation.
• Improving product recovery, purity, yield and process efficiency.
• Designing experiments to evaluate different purification approaches.
• Supporting the development of processes suitable for larger-scale manufacturing.
