Job summary

HydRegen, an Oxford-based biotechnology company, invites applications for a Downstream Processing Chemist to develop purification and product-recovery methods, helping move technologies toward commercial application.

You'll work with chemistry, biology, and process engineering colleagues to design scalable, efficient purification strategies and tackle practical challenges in recovering valuable products from complex mixtures.

Qualifications

• Practical experience with downstream processing, purification or product recovery.
• Exposure to different separation techniques.
• Academic or industrial project work welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Developing and optimising purification and downstream processing methods.
• Investigating techniques including filtration, extraction, evaporation and crystallisation.
• Improving product recovery, purity, yield and process efficiency.
• Designing experiments to evaluate different purification approaches.
• Supporting development of processes suitable for larger-scale manufacturing.
