Job summary

Accord Healthcare is seeking a Research Scientist to design, optimise and scale downstream purification for biologics at our Harrow site. You will lead purification strategies for monoclonal antibodies and proteins, spanning early to late-stage development, with emphasis on robust, scalable processes and technology transfer.

The role requires practical experience with chromatography systems (ÄKTA), filtration platforms, and DoE tools, plus interpretation of analytical data (HPLC/CE-SDS/SEC).

Qualifications

• Degree educated in a relevant bioprocessing discipline.
• Hands-on experience with chromatography systems (ÄKTA) and filtration platforms.
• Proficiency with DoE tools, Unicorn, and JMP for data analysis.
• Experience in biologics or biosimilar development is advantageous.
• Able to interpret analytical data (HPLC, CE-SDS, SEC).
• Strong knowledge of downstream bioprocessing and protein purification.
• Understanding of CQAs, process optimisation, and scale-up.
• Familiarity with GMP and ICH guidelines.
