We are looking for an experienced dosimetrist / treatment planner to join our friendly multi-professional radiotherapy team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. Torbay delivers a range of techniques, including Lung SABR, and is actively engaged in research with both commercial and non-commercial trials.
We are seeking someone enthusiastic and experienced in treatment planning, introducing new techniques, clinical trials, and paper-light workflows. An exciting few years await us as we purchase and commission a new treatment planning system, and you will be part of this project team.
You will join our caring, committed, and innovative team in beautiful South Devon. We value creativity, inclusivity, and work-life balance. Share our vision, and you'll thrive here, surrounded by nature and opportunity.
We would consider a Band 5 to Band 6 development role for this post.
You will provide an efficient, effective, and timely treatment planning service in accordance with departmental protocols and procedures.
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of outlining organs at risk (or checking automated outlining) for all body sites and understanding organ at risk doses in line with site-specific clinical treatment protocols.
You will handle palliative radiotherapy pre-treatment calculations and data entry.
You will liaise with treatment radiographers to solve complex treatment setup issues and help produce IGRT guidance as needed.
You will receive ongoing professional development support and maintain your own practice portfolio. The post holder will contribute to maintaining radiotherapy BSI accreditation and ensure patients receive outstanding care.
