Job summary

Simply Social is seeking a talented Director of Photography / Video Editor with motion graphics experience to help us create standout content for our clients. You’ll take projects from shoot planning through to the final edit, combining camera skills with storytelling, pacing and design.

This hands-on role involves lighting and shooting campaigns, editing fast-moving social videos, and bringing ideas to life through motion graphics.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to plan, shoot and edit social content with strong storytelling.
• Experience creating content for brands in social-first environments.
• Confident with cameras, lenses, lighting and audio.
• Strong editing skills in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Proficiency in After Effects with motion graphics examples.
• Understanding of social platforms and vertical formats.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Available to attend shoots in London and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and shoot social content, brand campaigns, interviews, product videos and BTS footage.
• Own camera, lighting and audio setups for studio and location shoots.
• Turn concepts into shot lists and production plans.
• Edit footage into compelling videos with strong hooks and pacing.
• Create motion graphics, animated typography, transitions and branded elements.
• Handle colour grading, sound design and final exports.
• Produce different cuts and formats for organic and paid social.
• Manage footage, project files and assets.
• Contribute ideas and stay updated on emerging formats and trends.
