Job summary

Yorkshire Cancer Research is seeking a Supporter Engagement Assistant to deliver excellent customer service by phone, email and in person, while updating supporter records in the CRM. You’ll help welcome new donors and steward ongoing supporter journeys, ensuring GDPR-compliant data handling and effective communications.

You will work on- site with some home-working on non-team days, coordinating with the CRM, Fundraising and Marketing teams to deliver campaigns and provide high-quality donor

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or a related role (telephony/databases/office).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience working with databases (e.g. Access or Raiser's Edge).
• Knowledge of GDPR requirements and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service over the telephone, in writing, and in person.
• Ensure donor records are accurately recorded on the CRM and communicate with supporters.
• Support initial welcome journey and ongoing stewardship for donors.
• Update records to reflect marketing permissions and personal details.
• Run data queries to deliver campaigns and communications (Mail Merge, letters, emails).
• Take lead on projects and campaigns with CRM, Marketing, Fundraising or Research teams.
• Monitor inbound emails/phone calls and respond or forward as needed.
