Job summary

The Air Ambulance Service is seeking a Warehouse Operative (Donation Sorter) in Rugby to support a brand-new hub for retail operations. The role involves loading/unloading stock, sorting donations, and ensuring items are handled safely and logged accurately.

You will work 37.5 hours per week in a hands-on warehouse environment, with opportunities to contribute ideas for efficiency and to support other departments as needed. A DBS check is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Regular manual handling of heavy and bulky items.
• Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience completing stock sheets or basic admin tasks.
• Strong teamwork, clear communication, and self-motivation.
• Conscientious and reliable with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload stock donations, ensuring goods are stored correctly.
• Identify and report damaged, missing, or unsuitable items.
• Assist with organisation and safe movement of stock in the warehouse.
• Adhere to systems for processing incoming goods and stock for sale or distribution.
• Check, weigh, and log stock data for invoicing and reporting.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment using initiative and teamwork.
• Collaborate with Warehouse and Workflow Team Leader to meet daily/weekly targets.
• Provide cross-support to other departments, including retail, when needed.
• Ensure all manual handling is performed safely per policies.
• Assist with waste management and recycling of donated items.
