Big C is seeking a part-time Donation Centre Assistant to join our retail team in Wymondham. You will support day-to-day operations, delivering high-quality customer service and maximizing the value of donated goods through sorting, selection, storage and distribution to our shops.
The role is 7 hours per week on Saturdays, with some weekday flexibility. Hours are 8:30am to 4pm with a 30-minute lunch break; salary is National Minimum Wage depending on age.

This is an opportunity for a part-timeDonation Centre Assistantto join our Big C retail team. You will support the successful day-to-day operations of the Donation Centre where you will help deliverhigh-quality customer service, making the most of donations to maximise sales and profit, and delivering a first-class distribution service. This will include effective sorting, selection, storage, and distribution of donated goods.
Big C is one of East Anglia’s largest cancer charities, having raised £50 million since it was founded in 1980. Today, Big C’s loyal supporters help the charity raise, on average, £3 million pounds every year to help those in our community who are affected by cancer.
We provide outstanding holistic care through our welcoming Cancer Support Centres and Hubs, as well as online and telephone support via our Virtual Support Centre. Income comes from donations, local businesses, legacies, grants, and 12 charity shops across the region.
If you have previous relative experience, good customer service skills, able to work within a small team, willing to learn and able to lift and carry donated items, this could be ideal for you. You will need to make the most of donated goods through effective sorting, selection, storage and distribution to retail shops.
The working hours are7hours per weekto be worked on a Saturday, with some flexibility to work during the week if required. The working hours are 8:30am to 4pm with a 30 minute lunch break.You will be based at our Wymondham Donation Centre on Ayton Road.
The salary is National Minimum Wage for under 18 - £8.00, 18-20 years - £10.85 and 21 and over - £12.71 per hour.
