Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a domiciliary optometrist to provide eye care in people’s homes across the designated territory. You’ll drive our services to doorsteps, supporting patients who can’t visit stores, while maintaining clinical care and customer service excellence.

The role includes a company car or allowance, and a benefits package including flexible leave and pension contributions. A pro rata salary base starts around £55,000 FTE, with additional perks and support for ongoing CPD.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Full driving license required.

Ready to take your skills on the road? As a domiciliary optometrist at Specsavers, you can do just that. You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who aren’t able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn’t be able to do without you. Essentially, you’ll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.

Our business

Based on the central belt and west coast, covering areas such as Glasgow, Helensburgh, Bearsden, Bishopbriggs, Clydebank, and some further afield areas such as Oban on occasion, you’ll cover a given territory, providing care to patients in their own homes.

Our cars

You’ll be provided with a company car to bring your care directly to people’s homes.

We do need you to have a couple of things to get started in this role. Firstly, you’ll need to be registered as a member of the General Optical Council (keeping this up to date) and you must have a full driving license. You’ll also need to be confident, passionate about providing the best customer service and be comfortable working by yourself and as part of a team.
