Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a domiciliary optometrist to deliver eye care in patients' homes across Shropshire and Staffordshire, including Cannock. You’ll bring clinical skills to the doorstep and support patients with basic tasks to enhance their daily living.

The role is full-time with no weekends, offering a company car or car allowance (£4,500), 33 days holiday, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, professional fees paid, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• GOC registered optometrist with a minimum of two years post-grad experience.
• Full driving license is required.
• Customer-focused, confident and motivated to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide domiciliary optometry and eye care to patients in their homes.
• Deliver high-quality clinical care while supporting patients with basic tasks when needed.
• Work with the team to cover designated territory and maintain safety standards.

Based in Shropshire and Staffordshire, covering areas such as Stoke, Stafford, Telford, Cannock etc, you’ll cover a given territory, providing care to patients in their own homes.

You’ll be provided with a company car (or allowance) to bring your care directly to people’s homes.

Find out more

We do need you to have a couple of things to get started in this role. Firstly, you’ll need to be registered as a member of the General Optical Council (keeping this up to date) and you must have a full driving license. You’ll also need to be confident, passionate about providing the best customer service and be comfortable working by yourself and as part of a team.
