Job summary

St Jude's Care is seeking a Domiciliary Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes across Weymouth and surrounding areas. You’ll deliver person-centred care, help with daily routines, meals, hydration and companionship to help people stay safe and independent.

You’ll travel between visits using the company pool car, receive full induction and ongoing training, and join a supportive, family-run team that values respect, reliability and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a compassionate, person-centred approach to care.
• Reliable and professional attitude; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication with clients, families and colleagues.
• Willingness to learn and adapt; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and practical support per care plans.
• Prompt or administer medications safely and appropriately.
• Prepare meals and support hydration and nutrition.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support independence after illness or hospital discharge.
• Assist with daily routines and encourage engagement.
• Travel between clients' homes using a company pool car.
