Job summary

Jarrodean Healthcare Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Domiciliary Care Workers for a specialist service in Bristol caring for Elderly Service Users needing End of Life care and those with Physical Disabilities.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be female at this time; male applicants may be contacted later. The post offers a 37.5 hour week with rota days, salary £12.82–£13.65 per hour, and options for full-time, part-time or flexible hours.

Qualifications

• At least six months care experience.
• Personal qualities: flexible, adaptable, confident to work without supervision and calm under pressure.
• A current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Commitment to a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
• Right to work in the UK status (six months or more).
• Employer sponsorship may be offered with this post (sponsorship cannot be switched on commencement).
• Staff accommodation is not available; signposting to local options can be provided.
• Six month probation period; own right to work status required to commence employment.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic Domiciliary Care Workers with a genuine commitment to working with Service Users who are Elderly, needing End of Life care and with Physical Disabilities to join our client’s specialist service based in Bristol.

Bristol is famousfor its vibrant culture, from its status as a global hub for street art, to its rich history in music, film, and engineering.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of this work and the request of the individual Service User, it is currently an occupational requirement that applicants for this postare female.

Male applicants may be contacted in future should the Service User pre-requisites change.

The salary for this post is £12.82 to £13.65 per hour (£25,100-£26,700 per year) based on experience for a 37.5 hour week usually on a rota of three long days one week / four the next, and we are open to hearing from applicants seeking a full-time, part-time or flexible hours opportunity.

This is a specialist domiciliary care and supported living service provider, run by a qualified nurse and an experienced senior care team with over 60 years’ combined experience in health and social care.

Person requirements:

• At least six months Care experience

• The desire to work as part of a team and an organisation committed to person-centred care.
• At least six months right to work in the UK status
