Job summary

Verity Healthcare Limited is seeking domiciliary care workers to provide compassionate, door-to-door personal care. The role covers mornings, evenings and medication support, with opportunities for training and career progression. You will join a team dedicated to safeguarding and high-quality client care.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming while preserving dignity and privacy.
• Experience administering medication safely and following care plans.
• Trained in safe use of hoists, mobility aids and transferring techniques.
• Ability to document care accurately using logs or digital systems and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work with vulnerable clients and adhere to safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to clients door-to-door.
• Assist with toileting, continence management and personal hygiene.
• Aid clients in getting up in the morning and going to bed at night.
• Assist with medication at the agreed level of support.
• Maintain detailed, accurate care and medication records.
• Prepare food and drink according to dietary needs and preferences.
• Carry out light domestic duties as instructed by the care plan.
• Observe health and safety rules and raise concerns with the Field Care Supervisor.
• Carry out other duties requested by management within the post scope.

DOMICILIARY CARE WORKERS' DUTIES:

• To provide personal care and support to Clients with a wide range of needs, illnesses, and disabilities from door to door
• To assist Clients with toileting, continence management, and personal hygiene
• To assist clients in getting up in the morning and going to bed at night.
• To assist Clients with their medication at the agreed level of support and as detailed in their Medication Care Needs Assessment
• To maintain detailed, accurate records concerning care and medication support given and tasks undertaken
• To prepare food and drink for the Client, being aware of the Client’s likes/dislikes, nutritional needs, and cultural requirements
• To provide light general household domestic duties, including housework and laundry, as detailed in the care plan or instructed by Management
• To observe all health & safety rules and take reasonable care to promote the health and safety of self and others, and raise any concerns to the Field Care Supervisor.
• Any other duties requested by senior management that are within the scope of the post.

DOMICILIARY CARE WORKERS' SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

• Skilled in assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming while preserving dignity and privacy.
• Experienced in administering medication safely, monitoring health conditions, and following care plans.
• Trained in the safe use of hoists, mobility aids, and transferring techniques to prevent injury.
• Builds trusting relationships with clients and families through active listening, empathy, and clear communication.
• Accurately documents care provided using care logs or digital systems, and maintains confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
