£12.45 per hour plus paid breaks

Bank Contract covering shifts of earlys 07:45-14:00, lates 13.45-20:00 & long days 07:45-20:00

As a Domiciliary Care Assistant, your role is to help residents enjoy life, and in return, we support your career development. We are seeking Assistants at various levels to provide domiciliary, residential, nursing, and dementia care services as needed. Our Domiciliary Care Assistants are the heart of our award-winning retirement village, bringing enthusiasm and gentle care that fosters joy.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assisting residents with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and continence care within their homes in the village.
• Supporting mealtimes by serving meals and assisting with walking, transfers, or using a hoist.
• Promoting mental and physical activity through hobbies and activities.
• Responding to emergency calls via the care alert system.
• Collaborating with the Care Manager and external professionals like GPs, Chiropodists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists.
• Maintaining accurate records of care provided, activities, and health changes.

Qualifications and skills required:

• Experience in a care or dementia setting or a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• A passion for caring for others, respecting choices, and prioritizing safety and welfare.
• Excellent listening skills, positivity, confidence in communication, and confidentiality awareness.
• Ability to lead by example, support the team, and deliver care with dignity and compassion.
